Selective Pallet Racking Systems are the most common pallet rack system used today, typically coming in Roll Formed (or Clip In) configuration, or Structural Bolt:
- Rolled Formed – These are most commonly manufactured in a “Teardrop” style, named so because the holes on the uprights are shaped like a teardrop. Pallets then rest on the horizontal load beams that are held in place by mounting clips. Because the clips on a Teardrop configuration can be quickly moved, the shelves can be easily adjusted to different heights to accommodate various load sizes. This is convenient for a warehouse that needs to store a wide variety of product sizes.
- Structural – These are very similar to roll formed systems, except the horizontal load beams are attached to the uprights with bolts and have much greater weight bearing capacity. Structural Pallet Racking can be designed into the structure of a building itself, so that the upright columns are simultaneously used to support the roof of the storage facility, in which case they replace the storage building’s vertical support I-beams.
A Selective Pallet Rack System is typically used in a distribution application, as well as in the retail store inventory rooms, cold storage applications and wholesale stores.
We offer both new and used “Teardrop” and “Structural” type racking systems for warehouses. We can retrofit or custom fabricate these Selective Pallet Rack System to your needs.
